What is kept when you convert CSV to PDF

  • The CSV is parsed properly (quotes, embedded commas and line breaks) and drawn as a bordered table; column widths follow the content.
  • The header row repeats at the top of every page, and long rows wrap inside their cells instead of being cut off.
  • Choose A4 or Letter, portrait or landscape. Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese text is supported; other scripts are refused with an explanation.

About CSV and PDF files

CSV (comma-separated values) is a table as plain text: one row per line, fields separated by commas, and fields that contain commas, quotes or line breaks wrapped in double quotes. It opens in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice, any database tool.

A PDF fixes text and layout into pages that look the same on every device and printer. The PDFs written here embed their font, so the text stays selectable and searchable. It opens in any browser, Acrobat Reader, phone and tablet viewers.

Good to know

  • If a spreadsheet showed all your data in one column, the file probably uses semicolons (common in Europe); choose the delimiter instead of relying on detection.
  • Choose PDF for printing, archiving and sending final versions. If the recipient needs to edit, send Word instead.

Privacy and limits

The file is read and converted by this page in your browser; there is no upload and no account. Files up to 25 MB are accepted; a file of the wrong type or a damaged file is rejected with the reason.

Frequently asked questions

My CSV has 15 columns. Will it fit?

Columns are scaled to the page width and the font gets smaller with more columns. Choose landscape — and remove columns you do not need — for the most readable result.

Can I edit the PDF table later?

A PDF is meant to be final. Keep the CSV (or convert it to Excel) for anything you still need to edit.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion runs in your browser on your own device, and this page has no upload endpoint. The PDF fonts (about 1 MB) are downloaded from this site the first time you make a PDF, then cached.

Is there a size limit?

One file of up to 25 MB at a time (about 2 million cells). Larger files can exhaust a browser tab’s memory, so the tool refuses them with a message instead of failing halfway.
