A4 turns landscape for wide images and never enlarges a small picture past its own size.

Nothing is uploaded. This tool runs entirely in your browser, so the file never leaves your device. There is no server to send it to, no copy kept anywhere, and it keeps working if you lose your connection after the page has loaded.

What changes when you convert HEIC to PDF

  • The picture is placed inside a PDF file as a raster image. It is not traced into vector shapes, so enlarging it far beyond its pixel size still shows pixels.
  • PDF cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white — what image editors do when saving to PDF.
  • Camera details and GPS location (EXIF) are not copied into the new file. Photo orientation is applied to the pixels first, so the result is the right way up.

About HEIC and PDF files

HEIC is the format iPhones save photos in by default. It is roughly half the size of an equivalent JPEG, but Windows, Android and most websites cannot open it without extra software.

PDF puts each image on a page that looks the same on every device and prints at its real proportions. Several images can be combined into one multi-page PDF. It is a good choice for sending, printing or uploading images as a document.

Limits

Up to 30 files of 25 MB each per batch and images up to 50 megapixels — beyond that browsers run out of memory, so the tool says so instead of producing a broken file. HEIC decoding uses libheif in the background and can take a few seconds per photo on a phone. Files that are not images, or are damaged, are rejected with the reason.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in your browser on your own device (the HEIC decoder, about 2 MB, is downloaded from this site the first time you convert), and this page has no upload endpoint. Once the page has loaded it keeps working offline.

Is HEIC to PDF lossless?

Yes, for the pixels: PDF stores every decoded pixel exactly. It cannot restore detail already lost in the HEIC file.

Can I put several images in one PDF?

Yes. Convert two or more images and press “Combine into one PDF” — each image becomes a page, in the order you added them.

What happens to transparency?

It is filled with white, because PDF cannot store transparency.

How many files can I convert at once?

Up to 30 files of 25 MB each per batch, and images up to 50 megapixels. Convert them together and download each one, or combine them into one PDF or take them all as a ZIP.
