How to convert a CBZ comic to PDF
- Drop your CBZ file on the box above, or click it to choose the file — or press Load a sample to try it first.
- Check the settings below the box; the defaults suit most files.
- Press Convert. Long jobs show a progress bar and can be cancelled; you then see what was made and its real size.
- Download the .pdf file.
What is kept when you convert a CBZ comic to PDF
- Pictures are taken from the archive in natural file-name order (page2 before page10), one picture per PDF page.
- JPEG pages are copied into the PDF byte for byte — no quality is lost; PNG, WebP, GIF and BMP pages are converted to high-quality JPEG first.
- Pages can be the size of each picture or fitted on A4. Text files, ComicInfo.xml and folders inside the archive are skipped.
About CBZ and PDF files
A CBZ is a comic book archive: a ZIP of page pictures that comic readers show one page at a time in file-name order. It opens in CDisplayEx, YACReader, Komga, Kavita, Calibre, many tablet comic apps.
A PDF holds pages that look the same on every device: text with its fonts, vector drawings and images at fixed positions. Pages can be rotated, reordered or copied between files without redrawing them. It opens in any browser, Acrobat Reader, phone and tablet viewers.
Good to know
- Comic readers sort pages by file name, so pages are named page-001, page-002… to keep the order right past page 9.
- A PDF that asks for a password when you open it cannot be processed here; protection is never removed.
Privacy and limits
The file is read and converted by this page in your browser; there is no upload and no account. The comic archive is read with size limits that stop archive bombs; only picture files inside it are used. A comic may hold up to 1000 pictures. Files up to 300 MB are accepted; a file of the wrong type or a damaged file is rejected with the reason.
