What is a fantasy cricket points calculator?
In fantasy cricket you pick real players, and they earn points for what they do in a real match. This fantasy cricket points calculator adds up one player's points for a T20 match: batting, bowling and fielding, then the captain or vice-captain multiplier.
Every fantasy app has its own point table, and apps change them from time to time. So all values here can be changed. The values filled in are example T20 values, not any app's official numbers. To match your app, open its point system page and copy the values into Point values.
How fantasy cricket points are calculated
The basic rule is simple:
Points = (each stat × its point value), added up, then × captain multiplier
On top of that, most apps add a few extra rules:
- Milestone bonuses for 50 or 100 runs, and for 3, 4 or 5 wickets. Here only the biggest one counts: a century gets the 100 bonus, not both.
- Economy rate points for bowlers who bowl at least 2 overs.
- Strike rate points for batters who face at least 10 balls. Bowlers are usually left out.
- A duck penalty for a batter who is out for 0.
The example point values

| Duck | −2 |
| Wicket (not run-out) | 25 |
| LBW or bowled bonus | 8 |
| 3 / 4 / 5 wickets | 4 / 8 / 16 |

Fantasy cricket examples
Every example below was run through this calculator with the example values.
- A batter who makes 52 off 30 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes, then gets out: 4 (XI) + 52 (runs) + 5 (fours) + 4 (sixes) + 8 (50 bonus) + 6 (strike rate 173.33) = 79 points. As captain: 158. As vice-captain: 118.5.
- A bowler with 4 overs, 1 maiden, 24 runs and 3 wickets (one LBW): 4 + 75 (wickets) + 8 (LBW) + 4 (3-wicket bonus) + 12 (maiden) + 2 (economy 6.00) = 105 points.
- A batter out for 0 off 2 balls: 4 (XI) − 2 (duck) = 2 points.
- A fielder with 3 catches: 24 + 4 (3-catch bonus) = 28 points.
Captain and vice-captain
Most apps give the captain 2× points and the vice-captain 1.5×. That makes the captain the most important choice in your team. The calculator shows the points before and after the multiplier.
Economy rate and strike rate
Economy rate is runs given away per over. A bowler who gives 24 runs in 4 overs has an economy of 6.00. With the example values, that is in the 6–7 band and earns 2 points.
Strike rate is runs per 100 balls. 52 runs off 30 balls is a strike rate of 173.33, which is above 170 and earns 6 points. A batter who faces fewer than 10 balls gets no strike rate points either way.
What this calculator does not do
This calculator only works out points. It does not involve money or betting. There are no contests, no entry fees and no prizes here, and it does not promote any fantasy app. In India, paid fantasy contests are not allowed under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025; free-to-play fantasy games are.
It does not know any app's current point table, does not load live scores, and does not pick teams. It is for T20 matches: the 4-over limit per bowler is fixed. It is not a Dream11 product, and the example values are not Dream11's official values.

Frequently asked questions
How are fantasy cricket points calculated?
Each thing a player does is worth a set number of points: runs, fours, sixes, wickets, maidens, catches, stumpings and run-outs. Some apps also add bonuses for milestones and points for economy rate and strike rate. Multiply each stat by its value and add them up. Captains usually get double.
Are these Dream11 points?
Not necessarily. The values filled in are example T20 values. Fantasy apps change their point tables, and each app has its own. Open your app's point system page and copy its values into the scoring settings, and the calculator will match it.
How many points is a wicket?
In the example values, 25 points, plus 8 more if it is LBW or bowled. Many apps also add a bonus for 3, 4 or 5 wickets. Your app may use different numbers.
How do captain and vice-captain points work?
In most fantasy cricket apps, the captain gets 2 times their points and the vice-captain 1.5 times. A player with 79 points is worth 158 as captain and 118.5 as vice-captain.
What are economy rate points?
A bonus or penalty for how many runs a bowler gives away per over. It only applies after a minimum number of overs (2 in the example values). Low economy earns points; high economy loses them.
What are strike rate points?
A bonus or penalty for how fast a batter scores, as runs per 100 balls. It only applies after a minimum number of balls (10 in the example values), and many apps do not apply it to bowlers.
Does this calculator involve money or betting?
No. It only works out fantasy points from a player's stats. There are no contests, entry fees or prizes, and it does not promote any fantasy app. In India, paid fantasy contests are not allowed under the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025; free-to-play fantasy games are.
Does this work for ODI or Test matches?
The example values are for T20. ODI and Test point tables use different values and different thresholds. You can change the values, but the fixed limits here (4 overs per bowler) are T20 limits.
