How to convert HEIC to EPS
- Drop your HEIC files on the box above, or click it to choose them (up to 30 at once).
- Press Convert. Each file is processed on your device and shows its old and new size.
- Download the files one by one or take them all as a ZIP.
What changes when you convert HEIC to EPS
- The picture is placed inside a EPS file as a raster image. It is not traced into vector shapes, so enlarging it far beyond its pixel size still shows pixels.
- EPS cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white — what image editors do when saving to EPS.
- Camera details and GPS location (EXIF) are not copied into the new file. Photo orientation is applied to the pixels first, so the result is the right way up.
About HEIC and EPS files
HEIC is the format iPhones save photos in by default. It is roughly half the size of an equivalent JPEG, but Windows, Android and most websites cannot open it without extra software.
EPS is a PostScript file meant to be placed inside other documents. The file written here contains your photo as a raster image — it is not traced into vector paths — which is what print and layout tools accept when they ask for EPS. It is a good choice for print workflows and layout software that require .eps.
Limits
Up to 30 files of 25 MB each per batch and images up to 50 megapixels — beyond that browsers run out of memory, so the tool says so instead of producing a broken file. HEIC decoding uses libheif in the background and can take a few seconds per photo on a phone. Files that are not images, or are damaged, are rejected with the reason.
